The time has come once again to review a game, and this time around, its Modern Warfare 3.
To start, the game has taken the same path as its predecessors, being released with a ton of bugs. Buffer overflow glitches, broken graphics engine, missing models/textures, slow framerates, etc. But, I am sure with time, patches will come to the rescue.
Another major problem with Modern Warfare 3, is the missing dedicated servers for ranked matches. On top of that, almost all Modern Warfare 2 hacks run perfectly fine in Modern Warfare 3. All shotguns are 2 shots, and multiplayer has major crash issues.
The single player is also laughable at best. The characters are the same (price, soap, etc), but they way they talk and act is nothing like the other games. On top of that, there are a few "questionable" things that happen in the game, that seem like they were put there for no reason other than to be questionable.
Last but not least, we shall talk about graphics. The engine seems to be broken (at least, I hope its broken). There is no HDR, DOF, and several other graphics options we had before. Textures are pixelated, as are several particle effects. And the colors themselves seems washed out and bland. It is definatly a step DOWN from MW2 (which I cannot believe). This game was running at 1080p on all high settings (extra settings where applicable), and was making me feel like there was nothing to look at. The famous COD "pretty" just wasnt there.
Single Player Gameplay: 4/10
Single Player Character: 2/10
Graphics: 3/10
Audio: 0/10 (excessively bassy, low quality sounds. Most sounds taken from previous COD games)
Multiplayer: 6/10
General Rating: 3/10
Hopefully, patches will undo the damage.

Edit: Another thing to add to this review. You can expect to see the error pictured above about once every 30 minutes, in both single and multiplayer modes. And spec ops crashes on map loads.
